Q: I have heard that Applecare doesn't lie on accidental damage so it's probably a better idea to get a third party insurance plan, right? I well-deserved want to make sure that if ANYTHING, hardware related or accidental damage, is covered. What do you imply I do?

A: My daughter is in college. I insure her laptop through Structure Farm Insurance for $30/year. It covers loss and damage with no copay.

Q: For norm if I was insured on one car fully comprehensive and wanted to drive another not on the policy, is the driver covered with third party insurance? If the other car possessor has gave permission for you to drive the car. Thanks, any information regarding limitations (value, play) would be helpful also.
Does it make a difference if it is a performance car? Not a ferrari or anything but just a 2.0L 6-dart ? Cheers.

A: The details that a policy is 'Comprehensive' does NOT automatically give you the right to drive another car for third party only risks. It is up to you to look into that the certificate states "The policyholder may drive a car that they do not own and which is not let to them under a hire-purchase ahead"!. If you have a broker then ask them.

If you DO have this benefit then you can drive any car - irrespective of age/ make/ copy - but you are not covered for any loss or damage to it. (NB you can't drive motorcycles or heavy CVs)
