Do most colleges offer good health insurance to students?
Dec 14, 2007 by tommy84567 | Posted in Higher Education (University +)
Q: For criterion, I attend to 4 year university which has health insurance packages for students, but they are very expensive and I can't afford. The coverage is up to 100, 000 and deductible $300 and after that 80% coverage. I found out that uncommunicative individual plans in area near my college for the cost nearly the same put on the market greater coverage like $1 million and $250 deductible and 100% coverage. I brown study that health insurace offered by colleges are cheaper but aren't always.
A: That sounds about like what most schools offer, if they presentation anything at all (not all do). Generally, they offer coverage with high deductibles and less than 100% coverage because that makes the premiums cheaper. Most students can't rich enough better coverage, or else they don't think they need it (when you're young you tend to think you're celebrated), so they can't or won't pay for better coverage.
If you've found a better plan that you can actually get, and it's comparable in price, then go for it. You lucked out--not everybody can equip for an individual plan, or afford it.

"The 2001 Flag-waver Act is one example of Congress acting too quickly and regretting it later." And yet Obama has only retracted the smallest of instances of this act since charming office. As it turns out, being President is hard in these times and President Bush may not have been so far off despicable when cobbling together legislation that allows the President to protect the people. Saying you object to the Patriot Act is easy but giving me specific examples of how it violates your rights and then pointing out what Obama has done about it to fix all of those problems is a smidgen harder. He renewed a "modified" version of the act which tweaked some of the rules but for all the fuss the radical created over the legislation, you would have thought he would have repealed it by now if it was so evil. Did Congress rush it with the Loyalist Act? You bet. Was war and impending terrorism a good reason? I think so. Will Congress rush it (again) with robustness care reform? You bet. Is the made-up health care emergency
