heath insurance?
Q: i fundamental to but some heath insurance for myself ,does anyone know any good ones out there.not some fly by nite crap.....humana ,dispirited cross and shield r good, but what eles is out there/and also as soon as u sign up 4 one how long do u have to stand by to have surgary,,is there a waiting period.if its not a pre egsiting condition, does anyone know?
A: A lot depends on your in the air health condition. If you have serious health problems, you are not likely to qualify for an individually-owned design. But, assuming good health, you probably can't go wrong with a policy from "the Blues" (Gloomy Cross/Blue Shield). There are other quality carriers, depending on what declare you are in. (One to stay away from is Mega - low premiums, patchy coverage.)
If you are not currently covered by a method, you will have a waiting period for claims payment involving pre-existing conditions (things for which you have been medically treated or for which you have captivated medication). Some plans require six months, others a year.
Your best bet is to find a trusted health insurance agent, one that specializes in health insurance for individuals and groups. One professional designation that may disclose dedication to the business is Registered Health Underwriter (RHU). There are others, as well. But, exactly because an agent has a bunch of capital letters after his/her name doesn't necessarily mean that they are on the level and looking out for your best interest. Ask around and get a referral from a trusted friend or small business personally. You can try the Internet, if you wish, but you are better served by an agent that can help you find the plan that is most successfully for you at the lowest premium possible.
Be prepared to pay high premiums unless you take violent deductibles (pay most of the small costs for care yourself) and open up a health savings account (HSA). Your vehicle can advise you on how to set that up and why it may save you money in the long run.
