home insurance in canada?? does it cover my university house?

Q: our billet at university was robbed i live in nova scotia and go to school a few hours from home in nova scotia and my computer was stolen from our crib, does my home insurance my parents have cover my laptop??

A: normally a home insurance case covers the contents for one home. Unless they have a comprehensive package that covers removable things like your laptop you may be SOL.

Waht you insufficiency is tennants insurance. Tennants insruance is for people renting a place.

Can anyone suggest a home insurance company that charges less premiums in Mississauga, Ontario Canada?

Q: Successful to buy a home and I'm tired of looking through the yellow pages. I just need a good beadroll and anyone's good suggestion based on any claims and such.

A: My blessing is to call your auto insurance agent and let them find a few quotes for you. If your Auto agent can't help you they should be able to find someone who can.

Canada home flood insurance?

Q: We neutral had a recent flood in our condo. We are currently renting the house. We had some electronics damaged in the deluge and the owner said he can't do anything about them. Is that true? Also, due to the flood, we couldn't cook anything, so we had to buy every meal, which outlay quite a lot. Also, we couldn't sleep at night because of the noise of the 9 big fans, which were on 24 hours quotidian. Then there's dust everywhere, and we are close to like freaking out. Isn't there anything we can do about this? This is continuing for 4 days, and is going to take more. Can't we sue the troop or get money from the owner for mental and physical problems? Also, the electronics that got damaged is over like $200. Anyone who has a be like experience, i would be thankful if you answered this.

Wretched to hear about your problems. I don't think there is anything you can do unless you had renters insurance (also called tenants insurance). Tenants insurance would counter your personal property for water damage from sewer backup, broken main, rain damage, etc. And you would have additional living expenses coverage which would allow you to move to pro tem quarters with the extra cost covered.

I think the fans are to dry the place out so you don't get matrix.

Is this the owners fault somehow? If so you can sue because the owner caused the damage.
