What health benefits are green card holders, who are senior citizens, eligible for?

Q: My in-laws each have a na card. One is 66 and the other is 61 - I want to know what senior health insurance programs or that they may be eligible for now or in the close to being future. Everyone is healthy now, but . . .

What programs are they eligible for? What are some best options for catastrophic coverage?

A: If they have worked and paid their taxes on allot, they will be eligible for Medicare. Your father-in-law would be eligible right now. Your mother-in-law would be eligible at 65. This is providing that she does not have a defect that would make her eligible for Medicare before the age of 65. Check this out with Social Security at www.ssa.gov


There are many catastrophic policies accessible today, from just about any insurance company. Check it out with AARP, they seem to have insurance for anything and everything.

With the new Health insurance program, part of it is funded by cutting Medicare. What happens to the seniors?

A: It looks like many will be losing their health plans. Please obsolete this on. Seniors and people on disability need to know this and act on it.

Obama wants to discredit payments to Medicare advantage plans or do away with them. It looks like now he may do away with them.

Q: I upstanding read that top Senior Republicans are telling Bush to veto a bill that would increase cigarette tax by 61 cents , that spondulicks would go to a program that gives health insurance to children who's families who don't qualify for Medicaid because they make too much , but not nearly enough to give private insurance. The proposed budget was $35 billion, it would be cut to short of $5 billion.

I ask you people, how on clay could you possibly turn down a program such as this? Are you purely inhuman? The majority of Americans are middle to shame class and can't afford any form of insurance, so they pay dearly when their children go to the hospital and many are forced into answerable for.

I ask you, is this fair? Name one good reason this program SHOULDN'T pass!
