Does health insurance cover pregnancy if it goes effective after getting pregant?

Q: My girlfriend is about 4 weeks expecting. She currently does not have health insurance but has been shopping for a while (we planned the pregnancy, but she got pregnant before coverage). Can we still get a insurance and have it blanket prenatal care?
I appreciate all the responses. She isn't eligible for medicaid. I did call BlueCross and asked them about it and they told me it isn't considered a pre-existing accustom and would be covered

Q: I've now 5 month up the spout and I'm covered by my husband's company's health insurance, Cigna, for pregnancy. Now his company want to switch to another corps health insurance company next month and I want to know if my pregnance still covered by the new insurance company? Or can I put in for to extend insurance coverage from Cigna until my baby is born to guarantee my pregnancy is covered?

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., spoke out today against the insurance actually of charging women more for health coverage because of domestic violence or the possibility of pregnancy.
“Right now women are among those most punitively disadvantaged by our current health care system,” Franken said in a prepared account during a Senate Health Committee hearing.

October has provided two troubling glimpses into Republican Sen. Jon Kyl's unwillingness to debate repel for his female constituents.
